ANTI-SEMITISM CONFERENCE ENDED IN BERLIN
Over 600 political and public figures, representatives of Jewish communities and organizations of 60 countries of world attended the conference held under OSCE aegis.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Germany Huseynaga Sadigov and Chairman of Azerbaijan Jewish community Semion Ikhiilov represented Azerbaijan.
On the eve of conference, in his TV speech, Federal Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroeder appealed world community for decisive struggle against racism and called anti-Semitism source of threat to democracy and human being dignity.
The political figures appealed nations of world, irrespective of their race, and religious convictions to move away completely and put an end to the conflicts and contradictions because of religious and ruling nationalism.
In conclusion, conference participants signed a document on prevention anti-Semitism, institutional propagandist mechanisms of government and non-governmental organizations of world in this direction, worked out recommendations for OSCE 55 member-states and adopted appropriate resolution.
