“Azerbaijan`s army meets the world`s highest standards, and we will do a greater job to strengthen it in the future”, said President Aliyev.
He also said the country managed to create a strong military-industrial complex in the last few years.
The President noted military products manufactured in Azerbaijan meet the world`s highest standards, adding “however, we must build the stronger military-industrial complex.”
Touching upon the country`s military spending, he said “it saw a ten-fold rise in the last five years and today exceeds $2 billion”.
The President also mentioned the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, saying it is Armenia`s non-constructive stance which impedes the process of finding a peaceful solution to the dispute.
