AZERTAC receives Zirve Awards in “Media Agency of the Year” category

The Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) has been honored with "Zirve Awards" in the nomination "Media Agency of the Year" at the presentation of the traditional “Zirve Awards” by “Zirve” International Sport Clubs.

The event was attended by notable Azerbaijani sports figures, as well as world, European and Olympic champions, award winners and others.

Speaking to the ceremony, Tofig Heydarov, the President of “Zirve” International Sports Club, highlighted state support of sports.

He highlighted achievements of Azerbaijani athletes, including those of "Zirve" club.

"The club`s athletes won a total of 236 medals in local and international competitions. Of these, 96 were gold, 62 were silver and 78 were bronze medals. 169 medals were won in domestic and 67 in international competitions."

The event then featured an awards ceremony on 2019 sporting results.
