AZERTAC’s correspondent dies in landmine planted by Armenia in Kalbajar district

AZERTAC’s correspondent dispatched to the Karabakh region Maharram Alioglu and a cameraman of Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Closed Joint-Stock Company (AzTV) Siraj Abishov were killed in a mine planted by Armenia while carrying out their professional duties in Kalbajar district.
Maharram Ibrahimov (Alioglu) was a cheerful and optimistic person, a patriotic journalist who was committed to his profession. From the first day of the 44-day Patriotic War, he was dispatched to the frontline to cover the military operations, preparing and sending news stories first-hand directly from the scene about Armenia's war crimes and targeting of civilians. As a professional journalist, he has always strived to be at the center of events.
AZERTAC’s team extend their deepest condolences to the families and friends of their colleagues Maharram Alioglu and AZTV cameraman Siraj Abishov, who were killed by an enemy mine.
