Azerbaijan, Chile discuss prospects for developing cooperation
Baku, March 22 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Argentina Mammad Ahmadzade who has got concurrent accreditation to Chile had a number of meetings with Chilean officials, including Foreign Minister Alfredo Moreno.
During the meeting, they discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Chile.
Moreno hailed Azerbaijan`s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
He also recalled Azerbaijan`s participation in the G20 foreign ministers` meeting in Mexico.
They underlined the importance of conducting high-level reciprocal visits, developing and expanding economic and trade relations.
They also stressed the necessity of cooperation between the two countries within international organizations.
The Azeri diplomat also met President of the Chilean Senate Guido Girardi and President of the Chamber of Deputies Patricio Melero.
They discussed prospects for interparliamentary cooperation between Azerbaijan and Chile.
During the meetings, Ahmadzade also discussed the regional situation, settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijan`s development strategy.
