BUG CLEARED AT HPS
According to the Azerenergy’s press-service, hydroelectric generator at the Varvara HPS was overhauled. Balancing and commissioning works are being implemented whereupon the generator will be put into operation and work with its capacity of 5,5 mwt. In total, there are 3 such generators at the HPS.
Despite small capacity of Varvara HPS, special attention is paid to its reliable and trouble-free performance ‘cause this station is somewhat of a water level controller in the reservoir and Kur River as a whole.
Recently, Block-1 has been troubleshot. The controllers identified low productivity of the generator because of the troubles in the cooling system. The system has been debugged for three days and block began functioning.
In parallel with these actions, generator-3 is also being repaired and due to be completed in 2004.
