Next session of the Central Election Committee, chaired by Mazahir Panahov was held on June 30. Report of the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Committee Svetlana Gasimova related to the approval of the lists of election districts for Azerbaijani citizens living constantly in abroad or being there on a long-term business trip was listened. The Committee adopted a decision on this issue in accordance with the 29.2 article of the Electoral Code.Rustamkhanli Sabir Khudu oglu, nominated by the Party of Civil Solidarity and Aliyev Yunus Isakhan oglu, nominated by the Party of National Unity were approved as candidates to the President of Azerbaijan.Then the Committee made several decisions related to the collection and submission of signatures in support of candidates to President, checking of electoral documents, rules of filling of subscription lists, and other issues.Representatives of International Fund on Election Systems (IFES), embassies of the US, France and Japan, foreign and local mass media participated at the session.
