CONFERENCE ON BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN AZERBAIJAN AND CIS HELD IN BAKU
Baku, June 21 (AZERTAC). A conference on business and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan and CIS has today kicked off in Baku as part of the 35th Meeting of the Board of Executive Directors of the Islamic Development Bank, IDB.
Supported by Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Economic Development, the event is co-organized by the Azerbaijan Investment Fund, Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promotion Foundation and Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector, ICD.
The conference brings together state and government officials from CIS and other countries, and representatives of the IDB Group and ICD, as well as over 300 local and foreign businessmen from a wide range of fields, including information technologies, tourism, agriculture, finance, banking, logistics, industry, healthcare, construction and energy.
Opening remarks were delivered by Azerbaijan`s economic development minister Shahin Mustafayev, who highlighted the country`s economic achievements and investment potential.
Ahmed Mohammed Ali, President of the IDB Group, and Khaled al-Abudi, CEO of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector, expressed confidence the Baku conference would contribute to expanding the business relations among the member states.
