INT’L CUSTOMS CONFERENCE DUE IN TEHRAN
According to the information received by AzerTAj, customs officials from seven European and Asian countries will attend the International Conference on Customs, Information and Communication Technology (ITC) in Tehran.
Officials from Belgium, Russia, Turkey, Pakistan, Azerbaijan Republic, Armenia and Afghanistan will take part in the 2-day gathering. As was stated, a number of officials from other ECO-member countries also will take part in the meeting.
Representatives from the World Bank, customs bureaus of Japan and China, officials in charge of Asicuda project, the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Customs Organization as well as the Director General of the Information and Communication Technology of Malaysia’s Customs will deliver lectures on ICT progress and achievements in the global customs field.
The conference will be held July 10- 11, 2004 in Tehran.
