Japan, Azerbaijan relations reach new phase
Baku, February 28 (AZERTAC). Japan and Azerbaijan build a new phase of bilateral relations. This is in the field of cosmic cooperation, Ali Abbasov, Azerbaijan’s ICT Minister told the journalists at the joint seminar started here and dedicated to the Japan-Azerbaijan satellite sector.
Japan is highly developed country in the cosmic field, Abbasov stressed. At his words, the Japanese specialists got acquainted with the State Program on launching the first telecommunication satellite and development of cosmic industry in Azerbaijan, and decided to cooperate in this field. The joint workshop will promote closer cooperation.
Minister Abbasov said that in the period of transition to the diversified economy the Azerbaijani state already pays great attention to the development of cosmic field as a branch of information-communication technologies. The Asian countries, especially, those in the Pacific basin - Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, India and others develop their high technology on one hand, and enlarge their markets on the other hand. Our key goal is to reach the Asian countries’ markets. So, development of the Asian countries in this field is in our interest, the Minister emphasized.
