President of Azerbaijan opens Baku-Alat highway’s completed stretch
Baku, May 7 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today attended the opening ceremony of the newly completed stretch of Baku-Alat highway leading to the State Flag Square.
The minister of transport Ziya Mammadov informed the Head of State on the technical parameters of the 2,8 km long new stretch with 3,75 meters of length. The highway leads from Azneft Square to the State Flag Square and further beyond the Bibiheybat Sanctuary.
As stated, the newly opened stretch will lessen transport density in the mentioned residential area.
The President cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of road and inspected the road passages, junctions.
The Baku-Alat Highway is being constructed since 2009 under appropriate Executive Order of the Azerbaijani President.
