“SARA KHATUN” SOCIETY OF AZERBAIJANI WOMEN ESTABLISHED IN BRITAIN
The society of Azerbaijani women “Sara Khatun” began operating in London, State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis living abroad said. Established at the initiative of Simuzar Baloglanova, co-chair of Azerbaijani Youth Club, the structure aims is to unite well-known female representatives of the nation residing in Britain as well as to encourage those living in other countries to take more active part in their societies to inform the international community the position occupied by Azerbaijani women in society.
The Society is expected to publish brochures and create a website in English language dealing with life and activities of Sara Khatun, the first Azerbaijan’s female diplomat.
It is also planning to cooperate with female organizations of Turkey engaged in public work in Britain.
