Special Representative of Azerbaijani President: International organizations witness that life is returning to Karabakh
Aghdam, March 4, AZERTAC
“The members of the delegation led by Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Maimunah Mohd Sharif witnessed the consequences of the urbicide committed in the liberated city of Aghdam. They also familiarized themselves with the construction and restoration works carried out in the city, as well as other liberated territories,” said Special Representative of the Azerbaijani President in the liberated territories of the Karabakh Economic Region Emin Huseynov.
“We briefed them on the restoration process carried out in the liberated territories by the Azerbaijani government, as well as exchanged views on how these organizations can benefit from the experience of Azerbaijan in this regard. I hope that this visit will be fruitful for them,” Huseynov noted.
“Of course, the acts of vandalism that have been committed in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan during the 30-year are irrefutable. However, we must look to the future. Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan will build beautiful cities, villages and settlements in these lands. All of this aims to help return our citizens to their ancestral lands as soon as possible. Our goal is to bring back life to Karabakh, which has already begun and international organizations are witnessing it," he added.
