Special coordinator of OSCE short-term observation mission: “Elections in Azerbaijan being observed by 358 observers from 41 countries”
Baku, February 9, AZERTAC
“The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are being observed by 358 observers from 41 countries. Election observation is a common practice and we conduct election observation in all OSCE countries,” Arthur Gerasimov, special coordinator of the OSCE short-term observation mission said.
"We continue our monitoring. We arrived at the invitation of Azerbaijan, and this once again confirms its commitment to the OSCE principles.”
"We have observers in all polling stations in Baku, and we will announce the results in the final report. We can’t say anything about the elections yet. The final result will be announced at a press-conference on February 10. I’ll just say that our delegation was not subjected to any pressure. We are being provided with all the necessary conditions for proper observation,” the special coordinator added.
