“THE ART OF AZERBAIJAN” EXHIBITION OPENS IN GERMANY

The exhibition titled “The Art of Azerbaijan” opened Saturday in Germany.

The event, organized by Azerbaijani “Zarifa-Art” Association in collaboration with Germany`s Kontraste Gallery, featured about 80 works by Azerbaijani painters and sculptors living in Germany – Ofeliya Imanova, Sabir Chopurov, Shahpalang Mammadov, Telman Quliyev and Oqtay Qasimov.

Among those in attendance at the exhibition, were chief of Cologne`s Culture Department Johannes Bunk, head of the Kontraste Gallery Jose Ocon, Chairman of the Confederation of Caucasian Peoples Dzavqo Alisultanov, head of the “Zarifa-Art” Association Ildirim Sultanov as well as representatives of Azerbaijan`s diaspora and German workers of culture.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, chief of Cologne`s Culture Department Johannes Bunk said the exhibition will play important role in strengthening cultural relations between Azerbaijani and German people.

The exhibition will run until 14 October.
