Turkish football team Kayserispor elects businesswoman Berna Gozbasi acting chairwoman, club says

The Turkish football club Istikbal Mobilya Kayserispor elected Berna Gozbasi acting chairwoman following resignation of former chairman Hamdi Elcuman on Friday, Anadolu Agency reports.
The Kayserispor board elected Berna Gozbasi acting chairwoman with unanimous vote after former head Hamdi Elcuman's resignation, the club said on its website.
Kayserispor will hold the general meeting to elect the permanent chairperson on Nov. 30, when Gozbasi will also run to lead the club.
"I will struggle for Kayserispor, which is the most valuable brand in Kayseri, to make it in a better position," Gozbasi told Anadolu Agency.
The businesswoman Gozbasi has been serving for IM Kayserispor as a board member for the last three years.
Gozbasi also served as an adviser for many companies on marketing and foreign trade and she worked actively in the Middle East, East and West Africa markets on 2001-2006, holding many awards for her entrepreneurship.
The Yellow-Reds, founded in 1966, is a Turkish football club located in the country's central province of Kayseri.
Kayserispor are currently at the bottom of the Turkish Super Lig with seven points.
They also had the Turkish Cup, winning against Genclerbirligi in 2008.
