® Mastercard and ABB launch Sustainability Hackathon
Mastercard, in partnership with ABB, is launching the Sustainability Sandbox Hackathon, a virtual competition that challenges fintech startups to create solutions addressing climate change. The event coincides with the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) and focuses on carbon emissions tracking and ESG solutions
The hackathon will run from 14th to 18th November, offering fintech innovators the chance to present their solutions to leaders from the financial and government sectors. Winning projects may gain exposure through Mastercard’s Sandbox as a Service platform.
“This hackathon empowers startups to create impactful climate solutions, reinforcing Mastercard's commitment to build an inclusive, sustainable digital economy, where everyone has an opportunity to reach their potential,” said Avşar Gürdal, General Manager for Mastercard Türkiye & Azerbaijan.
