A. ABIYEV – “STRONG BASE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF BOXING CREATED IN AZERBAIJAN”
In his interview to AzerTAj correspondent, President of Azerbaijan Boxing Federation, rector of Physical Training and Sports Academy Agajan Abiyev told on success of the national team on the international arena.
He stated that within past years, strong base for development of all kinds of sports, including boxing was created. Since 2000, the Azerbaijani boxers gained bright victories on the international arena.
He reminded that many winners of tournaments among the juniors passed to the category of senior and leadership of the Boxing Federation lay large hopes on them. According to the Federation President, on completion of the current Championship of the republic, players of Azerbaijan team to be determined, who will take an active preparation for February European Championship.
