AAC BECOMES STRONGER AND EXTENDS
At session, which was conducted by president AAC Mammad Aliyev, the report “On work of the All-Russia Azerbaijan Congress for the accounting period and tasks in the further consolidation of the Azerbaijan Diaspora in Russia ” has been heard.
AAC vice-president who has acted with a report, the head of executive apparatus Natig Agamirov informed, that session passes in conditions of the next stage of development of friendship between Russia and Azerbaijan at level of the Presidents of two countries and simultaneous activation of contacts of AAC with enforcement authorities of two states. He has noted, that all activity of the Congress was under construction on three mainstreams: the national - cultural work supposing the block of actions, directed on preservation of language, culture, national originality of Azerbaijanis, the organizational construction directed on creation of infrastructure, and work with bodies of the government and public organizations of Russia and Azerbaijan. As he said, as a red string through all these directions of work pass the basic idea and purposes of the Congress - consolidation of the compatriots living in various subjects of the Russian Federation, association before the created public organizations of Diaspora, formation of positive image of Azerbaijanis in Russia, assistance to development of links of friendship and cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan. N. Agamirov also has noted, that the Congress has become one of the large and recognized public organizations of Russia who gradually becomes more and more influential organization capable at all levels to solve the problem of the Azerbaijan Diaspora, protect their interests.
In the statement, the plenipotentiary ambassador of Azerbaijan in Moscow Ramiz Rizayev has positively estimated the work done by the Congress for the accounting period. Thus, he has called members of the Azerbaijan Diasporas to be more active in solution of national problems, having noted, that it is necessary to strengthen concrete affairs the Azerbaijan Diaspora.
The acted members of the Congress and representatives of regional branches of AAC marked special merits of our national leader Heydar Aliyev who has put in pawn the basis of the All-Russia Azerbaijan Congress, and his special attention to problems and needs of compatriots. In statements also it was marked, that today this tradition is continued by the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev who during the official visit to Russia at the meeting with the Azerbaijan diasporas has assessed activity of AAC and has stated: “For short time the Congress has become very strong, powerful structure which has quickly gained authority. You can always expect for our support and as the President, I guarantee to you this support”.
During the session, organizational questions have been solved. So, the number of members of Presidium and the Central Council has increased, new regional branches are included in structure of AAC - the city of Saint Petersburg, Republic Buryatiya, Republic Chuvashia, Autonomous region Taimyrsk, the Magadan area, Murmansk area, the Pskov area, the Tambov area and the Chelyabinsk area.
Also was decided to hold the convocation of second congress of AAC in October of this year in Moscow.
