About 40,000 users successfully register in SIMA daily

In accordance with the changes to the Labor Code introduced by the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Azerbaijan on August 12, 2024, labor contracts and any amendments to these contracts will only be legally valid after being signed with an enhanced electronic signature.
Labor contracts are signed through the "Labor Relations and Employment" platform, part of the Centralized Electronic Information System of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, using the “SIMA” digital signature, “SIMA Token” electronic signature, or “ASAN Imza.”
The “SIMA” digital signature offers users the simplest and most convenient way to validate electronic labor contracts. There is no need to visit any office or pay fees. Citizens can obtain a digital signature online by downloading and registering the "SIMA Imza" app on their smartphones, allowing them to sign contracts anytime, anywhere.
It is important to note that the integration of "SIMA Imza" into the "Labor Relations and Employment" platform has significantly reduced the need for citizens to visit customer service centers and has helped avoid long wait times for electronic signatures.
According to recent statistics, over 150,000 labor contracts have been signed using the "SIMA Imza" on this platform in the past week. Approximately 40,000 users successfully register in the application each day.
For non-smartphone users, employers are expected to provide alternative means of obtaining electronic signatures. Additionally, "AzInTelecom" LLC is developing a digital signature solution for citizens who do not use smartphones.
It should be noted that some users encounter difficulties when registering in the "SIMA Imza" app. The registration process involves comparing the photograph from the user’s identification document with their biometric data. Challenges may arise if light reflects off the device's screen during biometric verification, if the face appears unclear, or if there have been changes in appearance due to aesthetic procedures.
The registration process employs biometric technology and artificial intelligence, ensuring that no one can register on behalf of someone else.
