Building and assembly jobs in the Astara modular electric power station have ended, press-service of the Azerenergy joint-stock company said. Two aggregates of the station were put into operation during February ceremony attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Currently, all ten aggregates are generating power.

The specialists of the project partners Wartsila, ABB and Vard will be overseeing the operation of the station for some time.

The most of workforce, who constructed this station, are now engaged in constructing similar stations in Shaki and Khachmaz.

With the Astara electric power station operating, 170 new jobs have been opened.
