ANNIVERSARY OF AZERBAIJANI COMPOSER DEDICATED
Music of Gara Garayev is the property of both Azerbaijani and world culture. The composer, with his pioneering art gained universal recognition and glory. His works adorn the concert programs of best conductors and musicians of world, repertoire of many musical theaters. Personality of founder of the original composer school, classic of the soviet music, student of Dmitry Shostakovich, Gara Garayev, his immortal works, the ballets – “Seven Beauties” and “Path of Thunder”, symphonies “Leyli and Majnun”, other works, being property of the “golden fund” of Azerbaijan, are evaluated over the world. Gara Garayev’s music lives in the films that toured the continents.
During 64 years, Gara Garayev created unique works. It has to be reminded that the students of Gara Garayev represent national music and culture of Azerbaijan throughout the world. The jubilee concert organized in Moscow was evidence to that.
The concert was also joined by the ensemble of soloists of the studio of new music conducted by the People’s Artist of Russia Igor Dronov.
The jubilee concert was arranged with the financial support of the Russian Company “Management-Center” with the promotion of the Moscow State Conservatory after P. I. Tchaikovsky.
