ANNIVERSARY OF FRONTIER SERVICE MARKED
In his remarks, chief of the State Frontier Service (SFS), commander of the frontier troops lieutenant general Elchin Guliyev noted that reliable guard of the borders of Azerbaijan has great importance not only for the Republic, but also for the region and world. Noting that the Decree of President was a keen attention to guarding state borders, the Commander stressed that the head of the state attaches persistent attention to combat against international terrorism, illegal drug circulation, smuggling and illegal migration. With creation of the State Frontier Service, activity of the Azerbaijani frontiers acquired a new stage of quality.
Reminding on success achieved by the Azerbaijani frontiers in combat against international terrorism, no-proliferation of mass destruction weapons, illegal drug circulation, arms and ammunition, and guarding marine borders, Elchin Guliyev noted that they would further do their best for reliable protection of the Country’s borders. He also dwelt on development of inter-relations of SFS and NATO, bilateral contacts with the structures of frontier services of numerous countries.
Participants of the ceremony, on behalf of the staff, adopted an Address to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-In-chief of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
