ANNIVERSARY OF MOVEMENT “21 AZER” MARKED
Opening the meeting secretary of the Writers Union, People’s Poet Fikret Goja stressed that “21 Azer” Movement takes vital place in the history of Azerbaijan.
Writer-publicist Sabir Nabioglu, People’s Poet Sohrab Tahir, Bahruz Haggi noted in their remarks that democratic forces led by Seyyid Jafar Pishevari fomented a rebellion against the Shah’s regime in Iran and formed an Azerbaijani national government. Functioned for a year, this interim national government managed to implement some reforms in the agriculture, education and economy. Thanks to these reforms, a certain progress was achieved in Southern Azerbaijan.
