Another competition – ROBOTICS announced as part of TEKNOFEST

Another interesting competition has been announced in preparation for the TEKNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan will hold the first Aerospace and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST in Baku on May 26 -29 this year. The main purpose of the TEKNOFEST, which has become an international brand, is to popularize aviation, space industry, digital economy, education etc. among young people, develop entrepreneurship in these areas, reveal the knowledge and skills of young engineers through competitions organized as part of the festival, as well as present national technologies to the general public.
One of the most interesting competitions of the festival to be held in Baku is ROBOTICS, designed for schoolchildren, students and young startups.
The competition supports the development of robots capable of performing part of a certain work that can be useful to people and businesses in their daily activities, production and even in space, simplifying complicated mechanisms and even turning them into entertainment.
It should be noted that robots are any automation devices designed to perform various types of mechanical or pneumatic operations, as well as based on the kinetic properties of the material, working on pre-programmed tasks or controlled by artificial intelligence or various on-board sensors.
As part of the ROBOTICS competition, talented schoolchildren and students will have the opportunity to present their intellectual ideas and products to both festival visitors and local and foreign investors. In addition to being awarded certificates, the competitors will also be able to compete for the prize fund.
The prize fund for senior high school students (grades 7 - 11) from category A is 4000 AZN for the first place, 2000 AZN - for the second place and 1000 AZN - for the third place. University students studying in Azerbaijan and representing category B will be able to join the competition where the prize fund is 6000 AZN for the first place, 4000 AZN - for the second place, 2000 AZN - for the third place.
