ANTITERROR MEETING HELD IN MOSCOW
There had come more than 130 thousand people to express protest in connection with last monstrous acts of terrorism, which have occurred in territory of Russia. Participants of meeting have honored memory of the innocent victims by minute of silence and in the statements they demanded to unwrap ruthless combat against executors and organizers of these acts of terrorism.
Together with Russians to make protest, there came representatives of the Azerbaijan Diaspora in Russia. Our compatriots held the Azerbaijan flag and by that expressed to Russians the support in these mournful days. Representatives of some states - Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Georgia, Ukraine and others came to show their solidarity with Russians.
Mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov, taking part in the meeting, has called Muscovites to help authority in struggle against terrorism.
In the final part of antiterrorist meeting, the protesters adopted a resolution of meeting, which contains the requirement of strengthening of the state unity of the country, toughening of punishment of everyone who is involved in terror. In the resolution, it was stated: “The terrorism should be put on knees and destroyed. Our grief does not become our fear. The tragedy will even more unite us. Russia will be common, complete, multinational state. We shall win”.
Representatives of Christian and Muslim clergy taking part at the meeting also called for cohesion and consent between the peoples of Russia.
