ARAZ QUALIFIES FOR SECOND ROUND OF UEFA FUTSAL CUP
Azerbaijan futsal champion ”Araz” secured 5:3 and 5:1 wins over Croatia’s Split and Greece’s Athenes-90 clubs in the first round of the UEFA Cup competition in Zagreb, Croatia. With these victories, Azerbaijani club booked a berth in the next round no matter what the result of the match with Sweden’s Skode is. However, Araz beat Sweden champion 10:4 to cruise to the second round with 9 pts garnered.
Araz will know about its rivals following the draw slated for October 31. Europe’s 16 strongest teams will compete in four pools.
