ARMENIA IS A STATE SUPPORTING TERRORISM
The American magazine "Crime and Justice" has published an article approving the fact by historical arguments.
The Republic Armenia supporting terrorism at the state level also takes active part in financing the terrorist organization "ASALA". Numerous facts about it are produced in the article of Mohammad Imanli, PhD, professor of the Baku State University, titled "Struggle Against Financing Terrorism", published in the mentioned popular American magazine "Crime and Justice", August 2007.
The article emphasizes that Azerbaijan is a state, which during all its history suffered from the Armenian terrorism, which caused thousand victims, even long before events on September 11, 2001. Azerbaijan is a state, which took hard line in relation to this global threat.
The Armenian nationalists, who do not give up the chimera on creation of "Great Armenia" from sea-to-sea, now became a serious obstacle for safety of the civilized world. The article also notes, that since 1988 Armenia which has chosen as the main tool the terrorism and separatism with a view of annexation of the Azerbaijan territories, in XX century also has committed in Azerbaijan 373 terrorist acts as a result of which was lost nearby 2000 and wounded 1808 people. The overwhelming majority of victims of the acts of terrorism are women, children and the old. By courts of the Azerbaijan Republic, and also foreign countries, it is legally proved, that 32 terrorist acts have been committed with direct participation of special services of the Republic Armenia in the settlements located in hundreds kilometers from the front line.
The author writes, that in 1995-1997, by special services of Azerbaijan has been arrested more than 60 saboteurs and terrorists. It was legally proved, that they have had trainings in the territory of Armenia, received the finance, weapon and ammunition in Armenia. Acts of terrorism against civilians in Azerbaijan have been accomplished by groupings, which were directly financed by the state bodies of Armenia.
The article also marks, that under the pretext of "the rights to self-determination" of the Armenians living in the Nagorno Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, Armenia occupied more than 20 percent of the territory of Azerbaijan, over 1 million people were driven from their homelands.
The article widely provides for the measures, which have been carried out last years in Azerbaijan in the field of combat against terrorism, the information on the international agreements and conventions, which the Republic of Azerbaijan has joined.
