Baku, July 25, AZERTAC
The Head of the International Relations Department of Azerbaijan’s State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations presented the “ASAN Khidmet” model at a United Nations event in New York, focused on “Promoting Competencies and New Mindsets for the Future of Governance in the Global South.”
The event, jointly organized by the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government, in collaboration with the African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM), aimed to showcase global initiatives that promote innovation in public service and support the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Azerbaijani representative shared the successes of “ASAN Khidmet” model, along with updates on the agency’s broader activities. The forum also highlighted outcomes from the African Regional Forum on Public Service Innovation, co-organized by “ASAN service” in Ethiopia earlier this year.
During the visit, discussions were held with the UN officials on implementing the Contribution Agreement signed in November 2023, and with UAE representatives on expanding bilateral cooperation in public service innovation.
