AT CENTRAL ELECTION COMMITTEE
After adoption of the session agenda, CEC Chairman informed on approval of protocols of the sessions of Central Election Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic held on July 15,16,19. Taking into account the commission members‘ offers, these drafts were approved.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the commission Svetlana Gasimova informed on agenda of the regular seminar training to be held for district election committee members related to preparation of the upcoming Presidential elections. Members of the commission decided to adopt the agenda.
Secretary of CEC Ingilab Nasirov suggested to register 50 empowered persons, appointed by a Presidential contender Gudrat Muzaffar oglu Hasanguliyev. The proposal was approved by the commission.
Then, CEC Secretary Vidadi Mahmudov suggested to register 50 empowered persons, appointed by a Presidential contender Lala Shovket Hajiyeva, as well as to confirm Rasim Mirzahuseyn oglu Niftaliyev, appointed as CEC member with a right of deliberative vote from the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan. These issues were positively solved by the members of commission.
Further, Central Election Committee examined the issues on making alterations in the staff of some district election committees. The Commission decided to make alterations in the staff of the district election committees of Absheron N 45, Agjabady N 82, Imishli-Beylagan N 80.
Besides, other issues of the agenda were discussed and relevant resolutions adopted.
Representatives of the International Fund for Election Systems / IFES/, National Democracy Institute, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights /ODIHR/, Embassy of Japan, local and foreign mass media attended the commission session.
