AT CENTRAL ELECTION COMMITTEE
The draft laws of the sittings of commission held on August 15, 22, 28 and September 2,3,8, 2003 were approved.
Deputy Chairman of Central Election Committee Svetlana Gasimova informed on making amendments to staff of district election committee of Gedabay constituency N 103 and district election committee of Gedabay-Tovuz constituency N 104, as well as Secretary of the Central Election Committee Ingilab Nasirov – on making amendments in staff of district election committee of Sharur constituency N 2, district election committee of Gabala constituency N 116. Commission adopted resolutions on these issues.
Then, members of CEC Valida Kazimova and Gabil Orujev, who attended as observers in January 5, 2004 Presidential elections in Georgia informed the members of commission on their supervision.
Head of the international relations department of CEC Secretariat Rovzet Gasimov and head of information center under CEC Igbal Babayev informed on their participation at the sitting of sub committee of the group of specialists for electronic voting under CE Committee of Ministers for legal and practical standards in Strasbourg.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is the only member state of this authoritative structure among the former Soviet Republics.
Head of the international relations department of CEC Secretariat Rovzet Gasimov was elected the Deputy Chairman of the sub-committee.
