AT CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMITTEE
Regular sitting of the Central Electoral Committee chaired by Mazahir Panahov was held on July 15. The CEC confirmed the candidacy of Mr. Alizadeh Araz Mammadmubariz oglu nominated by Azerbaijan Social-Democratic Party to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.Then CEC Secretary Ingilab Nasirov spoke of instructions on working rules of district election committees and rules of activity of observers, appointed by the candidates to President. These documents were adopted taking into account proposals and opinions of the CEC members. The Commission focused on other issues connected with the presidential elections.Representatives of the International Fund of Election Systems (IFES), OSCE Office in Baku, US embassy, as well as foreign and local mess media attended the sitting.
