AT THE CABINET OF MINISTERS
On July 12, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizadeh received a delegation of Federal Ministry of Interior Affairs of Austria led by Minister Ernst Strasser. Welcoming the guests, the Premier pointed out the necessity for expansion of Azerbauijan - Austria relations, and intensification of the participation of Austrian companies dealing with different business sectors in the economic life of Azerbaijan. Speaking of the economic reforms being carrying out in Azerbaijan, GDP growth, Artur Rasizade stated that the main obstacle for the country in this way is the unsolved Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Garabakh conflict and occupation 20% of Azerbaijani lands by Armenian armed forces. The Prime Minister, at the same time, expressed his satisfaction with the level of co-operation between Interior Ministries of the two countries.Mr. Schtrasser, for his part stated that Austria is keen on development of co-operation with Azerbaijan, which has favorable geo-strategic situation locating at the junction of Europe and Asia that would allow to coordinate joint activity on combat against illicit drugs turnover and organized criminality.Present at the meeting was Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of Austria to Azerbaijan Haydemaria Gurer.
