Azerbaijan's men's team secure back-to-back wins on day one
Baku, June 24, AZERTAC
Serbia showed just why they were the pre-tournament favourites with a dominant display against Italy in their first men's 3x3 Basketball game at the Baku 2015 European Games.
The world's no.1 ranked individual player, Dusan Domovic-Bulut, sparked Serbia to a 6-0 start before they eventually coasted to a 21-14 Group B victory within the regulation 10 minutes.
"I can't say that we played a great game, but we played well," the star said. "The main thing in our team is that when one person is struggling, there is always someone else who can lead or can score."
Belgium's men bounced back from a Group B defeat by Russia earlier on Tuesday by edging Turkey 21-20 in a thriller decided by Domien Loubry's long-range two-pointer.
Following a 17-14 success against the Czech Republic first thing, the Azerbaijan men made it two wins from two in Group D with a 17-9 win over Switzerland.
"We are feeling good, but only for tonight," Marshall Moses said after a sweltering day at the court. "We won today and that's good.
"If we get too high on ourselves Andorra could come out tomorrow and kick our butts, so we have got to be humble and come out to work hard."
