Azerbaijan becomes EQAR member

Azerbaijan has been elected a member of the General Assembly of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) at the organization`s meeting in Riga, Latvia.
According to the Ministry of Education, during the meeting representatives of the Council of Europe, European Commission and the Bologna Process discussed the issue of Azerbaijan`s membership.
Azerbaijan was represented by official of the Ministry of Education Afghan Abdullayev.
Addressing the event, Mr. Abdullayev highlighted what has been done in Azerbaijan in the field of education.
EQAR president Andreas Orphanides hailed Azerbaijan`s rapid development and educational reforms conducted in the country. He also touched upon the first European Games to be held in Baku, describing it as a “manifestation of Azerbaijan`s increasing influence”.
The event featured a documentary on Azerbaijan.
