Azerbaijan, China expand cooperation

Azerbaijan`s First Deputy Speaker Ziyafat Asgarov has met Vice President of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of Communist Party of the People's Republic of China Li Jun.
Mr. Asgarov spoke of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and China, described development of these bonds as steadily.
The First Deputy Speaker stressed the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of development of bilateral relations.
Mr. Asgarov highlighted Azerbaijan`s economic development, as well as large-scale energy projects carried out under the country`s initiative in the region.
He talked about the cause and consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, adding the UN Security Council, NATO and other international organizations adopted resolutions on immediate, unconditional withdrawal of Armenian Armed Forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. "Armenia refuses to honor decisions and resolutions of the international organizations."
Vice President of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of Communist Party of the People's Republic of China Li Jun, in turn, stressed the importance of bilateral relations, saying these bonds actively develop.
