AZERBAIJAN-EGYPT: DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONS FOCUSED
As stated, Heydar Babayev has negotiated with the minister of international cooperation, co-chair on Egypt side Faiza Abu An-Nagi.
Discussed were issues of cooperation in health, pharmacology, construction, tourism, oil and oil equipment. Also was noted that the earlier signed agreements are not fully performed.
The trade turnover between two countries makes 4 million dollars, which is not in compliance with real opportunities of Azerbaijan, Mr. Babayev stressed. Speaking of the cooperation prospects, Babayev praised the opening of branch of the Azerbaijan Oil Academy in Egypt.
President of Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to expansion of relations with Egypt, he underlined.
The same day, Heydar Babayev has met with the minister of health Avad Tacuddin, who was invited to visit the Republic of Azerbaijan in early 2006.
Minister of economic development, on the same day met with businessmen of Egypt. At the action, speaking was the president of Businessmen Association Jamal Nazir, minister of international cooperation of Egypt Faiza Abu An-Nagi and Heydar Babayev.
The visit continues.
