Azerbaijan, EU discuss energy cooperation

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov has met with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The sides discussed issues on energy dialogue between Azerbaijan and the European Union. The importance of intensive contacts on the directions of the Energy Dialogue for expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor towards new energy markets, cooperation on decarbonization, energy transition and renewable energy, energy efficiency, export of electricity, hydrogen and energy storage technologies was emphasized.
They also agreed to continue the dialogue with the European Commission and Western Balkan countries in order to resolve issues arising from potential gas supplies to the Western Balkans as part of the expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor.
