AZERBAIJAN EXTENDS COOPERATION IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES FIELD
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov met with Regional Director of the United States Trade and Development Agency Daniel Stain.
D. Stain said the US Trade and Development Agency is ready to make every effort to assist for the construction of Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan part of Trans-Asia-Europe fiber-optic cable system, as well as for the development of information and communication technologies in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani minister pointed out that his country is keen on construction of Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan part of the Trans-Asia-Europe fiber-optic cable system. A. Abbasov gave detailed information about the works carried out in creation of super computer center and innovation zones in Azerbaijan, and state care to the information and communication technologies.
They also exchanged views on holding a conference with the participation of some CIS countries and other countries of the region as Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan on construction of the Trans-Asia-Europe fiber-optic cable system.
