Azerbaijan, Georgia explore defense cooperation

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev met with the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani diplomat presented the newly appointed Defense Attaché, Colonel Arzu Hasanov to Georgia’s Defense Minister.

Irakli Chikovani highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan in ensuring regional security. He particularly highlighted Georgia’s role in promoting peace, stability, and long-term development in the South Caucasus.

The sides also discussed the agenda of bilateral and trilateral defense cooperation formats.
