AZERBAIJAN, IRAN SIGN INTERGOVERNMENTAL DOCUMENTS
Following the talks between Azerbaijani and Iranian delegations, the parties signed intergovernmental documents.
Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad signed the Joint Declaration between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Azerbaijani Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov and Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki signed a memorandum of understanding on opening of the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku bus route.
Ziya Mammadov and Manouchehr Mottaki also signed a memorandum on construction of the Julfa (Azerbaijan)-Julfa (Iran) car bridge.
Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev and Iranian Deputy Energy Minister Musa Zargar signed a memorandum of understanding on construction of Ordubad and Marazad hydroelectric power plant.
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki signed a memorandum on granting international status on Shahtakhti and Poldasht border checkpoints.
