Azerbaijan, Japan explore enhancing digital development cooperation

Baku, October 9, AZERTAC

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov met with Hideo Fuseda, Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination (International Affairs) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation.

Discussions focused on strengthening ties in digital development and information and communication technologies (ICT), exchanging expertise in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and innovation, as well as exploring opportunities for implementation of joint projects.

The sides also exchanged views on finalizing the Action Plan for cooperation in ICT and postal services, Azerbaijan’s participation in the Hiroshima AI Process, and leveraging ICT for disaster prevention and management.
