Azerbaijan, Korea explore academic collaboration

Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Kang Kymgu visited the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzMIU), where he met with Rector Professor Gulchohra Mammadova and members of the university staff.
Highlighting the friendly relations between the two countries, Gulchohra Mammadova emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-university ties and expanding cooperation with Korean universities.
The rector briefed the diplomat on the university’s activities, as well as its scientific and technical potential.
Ambassador Kang Kymgu expressed his readiness to support the development of cooperation between Korean universities and AzMIU. He proposed a phased roadmap to enhance Korea–Azerbaijan university ties, beginning with student and faculty exchanges and joint seminars, and later moving toward the establishment of dual diploma programs.
The ambassador also familiarized himself with the material and technical base and the educational process at the Faculties of Architecture and Design.
