Azerbaijan may open trading house in US

Baku, October 16, AZERTAC

“Azerbaijan may open a trading house in the United States of America (USA) depending on the dynamics of the bilateral trade,” said Deputy Minister of Economy Sahil Babayev in his interview to journalists.

“Researches are underway. Our trading houses can be opened in a country which is a priority for export of Azerbaijan’s non-oil products and has an active market," the deputy minister of economy said.

Babayev mentioned that Azerbaijan is currently planning to open trading houses in relatively close markets. He added that Azerbaijan has already appointed trade representatives to Russia, China, UAE and Central Europe and they have already begun their activities in these countries. “At the same time, we expect to launch a fully-operational trading house in Ukraine in the coming days.”

The deputy minister said that work is underway towards opening trading houses in other markets.
