AZERBAIJAN MAY STOP IMPORTING RUSSIAN GAS
If “Gasexport” raise gas prices next year Azerbaijan Republic may stop importing “blue fuel” from Russia, AZERTAG correspondent was told at the State Oil Company. In accordance with the agreement reached in December 2004, Azerbaijan should pay $62 per thousand cubic meter of gas in 2005-2006. However, the officials of the company announced on increase in gas prices up to $140-160 for CIS countries. It does not meet the interests of the government and people of Azerbaijan.
