AZERBAIJAN READY TO EXECUTION OF THE MEMO ON VISA SIMPLIFICATION
Last times, citizens of Azerbaijan and Iran, mass media, addressing in embassy of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, ask, when practical realization of the “Memorandum between the Government of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of Islamic Republic of Iran on the simplified order of ingress-egress of citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic living in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan and citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran” signed in Baku November 28, 2005 will begin.
As stated, both Azerbaijan, and the Iranian party take necessary measures. The Azerbaijan party ratified the Memo in March 2006. On April 8, 2006, the Iranian party has been officially notified on full readiness of the Azerbaijan party for execution of the document. We believe, the Embassy official said, that the Iranian party would accelerate carrying out of necessary work for realization of the Memo.
