Azerbaijan, San Marino explore developing energy cooperation

Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, met with a delegation from San Marino, including Marco Gatti, Minister of Finance, Budget, Transport, and Energy, and Alessandro Bevitori, Minister of Labor, Economic Planning, Relations with AASS, Ecological Transition and Technological Innovation.
During the meeting, the officials noted that the high-level political relations between the two countries provide a favorable basis for the development of cooperation in the energy sector. Minister Parviz Shahbazov emphasized that Azerbaijan acts as a reliable energy partner by exporting oil to 20 countries, as well as natural gas to 16 countries. Additionally, Azerbaijan is implementing large-scale renewable energy projects and advancing major infrastructure initiatives aimed at establishing green energy corridors extending to Europe.
The parties reviewed the current situation regarding San Marino’s energy supply, addressing cooperation in natural gas supply, renewable energy, and green transition.
The meeting also touched upon San Marino’s participation in the events to be held on the sidelines of Baku Energy Week.
