AZERBAIJAN SEEKING DEVELOPING NATION STATUS TO JOIN WTO

Azerbaijan has had an observer status in the World Trade Organization since 1997, deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev said. The country has started negotiations to become a full-fledged member since 2005. The working group for Azerbaijan in the WTO secretariat has so far gathered for 4 meetings. Azerbaijan is seeking a developing nation status to join the WTO with this matter already agreed with Malaysia.
