Azerbaijan, World Bank explore new projects
Baku, September 9, AZERTAC
Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, met with Rolande Pryce, World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus.
The meeting focused on the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank, ongoing projects and new project initiatives.
Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted the importance of cooperation with the World Bank in expanding SMEs’ access to financial resources and exploring new opportunities for economic growth and diversification.
He noted that joint initiatives in these areas would contribute to private-sector development in Azerbaijan and sustainable economic growth.
The meeting also noted that the World Bank Group’s transition to a unified country representation model in Azerbaijan would enable more efficient and coordinated development of the partnership.
