Azerbaijani delegation attends 15th Monitoring meeting of OECD`s Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Chief of the Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General`s Office, National Coordinator of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development Kamran Aliyev has attended the 15th Monitoring meeting of the OECD`s Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia held in Paris.
The meeting heard reports on the 3rd round of assessment of some member states of the Network.
Addressing the event, Mr. Aliyev highlighted anti-corruption measures taken in Azerbaijan under President Ilham Aliyev, as well as work done under the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The meeting participants hailed “ASAN xidmət” service as Azerbaijan`s brand in fight against corruption.
On the sidelines of the event the Azerbaijani delegation met senior officials of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) and European Partners against Corruption (EPAC).
The delegation has handed over Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov`s letter to the EPAC leadership on the country`s joining EPAC.
OLAF Director-General Giovanni Kessler said a delegation of the Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General`s Office was invited to an annual meeting of the network, and expressed hope that the Office would be elected as a full member of the network.
